I am currently so so excited for something, which everyone else says is too far away to get excited for….yep you guessed it, IT’S ALMOST CHRISTMASSSS!!! :D :D ONLY 86 DAYS TO GO!!!! ahem…
Anyways, so now we’ve established that, let’s just talk about Christmas for a bit xD
I love so much about Christmas: the food (never thought I’d say that!), the family time, the (rubbish) TV, the films we watch as a family, giving presents, making things for people, mulled wine, minced pies, Christmas trees, ROAST!! family walks and so many more things xD
I live in South West England, so I don’t get much of this, but…. I LOVE SNOW!! :D
The marvellous (although far between) memories I have of snow warm my heart :’) (ooh look I made an accidental kind-of pun xD!)
We have so many hills to sled down when we do have snow and since we had to cross a river to get to school, whenever it was closed we couldn’t get there, so we had extra ‘snow days’. It was awesome! xD
Snow is like cold sand, you can make things with it, but you don’t even have to go to the beach(not that we’re very far from that!).
Also, we live about an hour away from a beautiful wilderness called Dartmoor, which, if it was snowy around the weekend, was perfect for a family walk.
Psalm 148:7-12 says:
Praise the Lord from the earth,
you creatures of the ocean depths,
fire and hail, snow and clouds,[a]
wind and weather that obey him,
mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all livestock,
small scurrying animals and birds,
kings of the earth and all people,
rulers and judges of the earth,
young men and young women,
old men and children.
How awesome is it that God is sovereign over even the weather, He knows every day in history it was and every day in the future it will be snowy! :D
Thank you God for the snow and Christmas and Winter! xD
[How pathetic is this amount of snow?! xD We do live near the sea though…]
